If you're a long time reader of this blog or for many of you who know me personally..... then you know how much I LOVE kitchen gadgets. The Granddaddy of all kitchen gadgets in my view is the Kitchen-aid stand mixer. Anyone whose worth their salt in the kitchen has one or wants one. Their is simply no in-between when it comes to this mixer.
In my free time I like to dabble in a little catering for family and close friends. My Kitchen-aid stand mixer is literally my bff during these times. No mixer beats my caramel cake batter like this one. Every time I use my Kichen-aid stand mixer, my batter is smooth and perfect without a lump to be found. Even if your not a culinary expert, no one will know it but you. We all know baking is not as easy as it looks. Ingredients should be measured and many should be at certain temperatures, sometimes different temperatures. For example: when I make my famous pie crust I always use ice and my other ingredients are at room temperature. I simply select the lowest speed on my stand mixer, and it slowly mixes all of the ingredients until they are incorporated together to form my dough.
The Kitchen-aid stand mixer isn't just for mixing cakes, breads and cookies. Have you ever wanted to make your own sausage? The Kitchen-aid stand mixer has an attachment for THAT! Yep, you can make your very own sausage and best of all YOU decide what goes into your sausage. Maybe you want to add fresh apples, chicken or fennel to make your very own signature sausage.
