Save for a Bright Future with Box Tops for Education™ Available at Walmart Stores

I am a proud Walmart shopper and  Box Tops for Education™ Mom! Shopping at Walmart allows me to maximize my Box Tops for Education Savings. The money my kids' school(s) have earned over the years from me and other parents collecting Box Tops from products we buy already has been very significant to the schools extracurricular activities budget.
My kids attend schools in the Detroit Public School system. Once the largest and most well-funded district in Michigan, DPS has declining enrollment and lots of financial set-backs. Over the years DPS has received some very deep cuts to their budget. Many after school programs and extracurricular programs have been discontinued. While schools are a place for learning and education, it's important to understand children learn through many different avenues. Extracurricular activities are just important as classroom instruction. No child should go to school and not experience recess because the school has no equipment, like balls or swings or basketball rims on the playground.

Through the efforts of some very dedicated parents, neighbors and friends my kids' schools have flourished with the money earned from collecting Box Tops for Education™. Last year one of my son's school was able to purchase new musical instruments and new basketball hoops for the playground. Money that had been cut by the department had been replaced by Box Tops for Education™. Pretty encouraging considering you can find these labels on so many food items.

If you've been seeing the Box Tops labels on foods you purchase and aren't familiar with the program or want to learn more about it, continue reading....
