@GortonsSeafood Wicked Good Seafood Review & PrizePack Giveaway Ends 10/28

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated. I received a sample of the product to better facilitate my review. All opinions are my own and may differ from yours.

I am a big fan of everything seafood. I try to serve fish/seafood at least twice a week when I cook dinner. The only problem is I live in a house full of picky eaters. It's always someone who doesn't like this, that or the other. But I don't let those issues deter me when it comes to cooking fish. I know the importance of Omega 3 Fatty acids to our diets. Seafood is an excellent source for these nutrients.

For this review I was sent product coupons in addition to some other Gorton's swag, (one of my readers will also receive the exact same Gorton's swag I received as part of their prizepack.) For the first time I decided to purchase different fish products from what I usually purchase. I bought fish sticks, shrimp scampi, tilapia, salmon and my favorite beer battered fish fillets. To my surprise my two youngest really enjoyed the salmon and the fish sticks. These are two admitted haters of all things fish. I actually bought the fish sticks as a joke, (when I was younger we were served soggy fish sticks at school every Friday and I hated them). I had no idea they would enjoy the fish sticks as much as they did. I was surprised I enjoyed them too, I haven't had fish sticks in years! They wer not soggy, quite the opposite in fact. Crunchy and very meaty 4(four) fish sticks along with mashed taters and peas were surprisingly very filling.

Overall, my fish experiment was a huge success. I was able to convert my picky teenage sons to not only eating fish but they are now requesting fish on Friday's. Now I find myself visiting the Gorton's Seafood website and Facebook page for new recipe ideas and coupons. This introduction of fish has challenged me to come up with new menu ideas each week.
