dechoker:Keeps your Loved Ones Safe from Choking #breathingismandatory

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post.

Did you know choking is a leading cause of death in children? It's true. A child dies every five days from choking....

Use dechoker the next time your loved one has a choking accident , breathing is MANDATORY.

The dechoker is the World's First FDA Approved anti-choking device (ACD)
fits in ANY diaper bag and retails for $149.96
I'm sure we've all had our own experience with choking or near choking incidents. One thing I'm sure we can agree on is, choking "is scary". Not being able to breathe freely, knowing something is lodged in your throat, windpipe or esophagus is extremely scary and can be dangerous, even fatal. A few years ago my aunt was eating some fruit and choked on an orange slice. Luckily we were all there visiting and someone was able to administer the Heimlich Maneuver and dislodge the food. But, she experienced a cracked rib due to her frailness and my cousins unfamiliarity with the maneuver. She also required a feeding tube six months later because she was so afraid of choking again that she literally stopped eating food by mouth.

Choking occurs when a foreign object (usually food) becomes lodged in the
throat or windpipe, blocking the flow of air.

Speaking as a mom I can remember when one of my boys who was a toddler at the time put a small toy in his mouth and started to choke. I was frantic! I immediately turned him upside down and started wailing on his back. Probably not the best move, but I was a scared mom. I wish now that I had the dechoker, sparing me and my son of the harsh hits to the back to dislodge the toy.

Speaking as a Nurse I can say it has been my experience that the elderly and children suffer choking incidents the most. Having the dechoker device on hand is smart and can save lives. It would make a great baby shower gift. Instead of purchasing clothes or toys for an expecting mom, give a dechoker, a gift that could save a life. Many of my friends are Nurses who work in Nursing Homes and various senior facilities. Although the facilities are required to have ambu bags available, my friends said they are buying the dechoker to keep in their Nursing kits and in their cars.
