I think about and shop for Christmas all year long. I recently confessed on my social media that I leave my Christmas Tree up all year.
Leaving the tree up all year actually started out as a joke really. See, I prefer real Christmas Tree's over artificial ones. But a few years back money was tight around Christmas and my husband opted for an artificial tree. Imagine my surprise when he entered the house with a tree in a box. My first reaction was anger but then I remembered our first Christmas together. Our oldest son was only a week old and we only had ornaments, no tree. At that time we couldn't afford a tree real or artificial tree. But we were both blissfully happy. My hubs held our smiling happy son in his arms as I hung our ornaments on lamps, the ceiling and on anything with a hook.
It was during that Christmas my husband promised me we would always have a real tree when Christmas came. So, to let him know I appreciated him buying an artificial tree for when times were hard I decided to leave the tree up all year. (It's not that I'm lazy). The ornaments are sometimes replaced for other holidays but the tree has been up for the past five years. If I never have another real tree again I'll always have a bunch of ornaments to adorn my home and artificial tree. After-all, it's the ornaments that make the tree, in my opinion.
When I think about Christmas without ornaments I think about the cartoon that had the " Island of Misfit Toys." I couldn't imagine a Christmas without ornaments.
For the second year in a row the generous people at Ornaments with Love have gifted me with a personalized Christmas Ornament. Personalized ornaments are a favorite of mine. Someday I plan to give my boys a box of ornaments when they marry and move out on their own. Looking back at the years printed on the ornaments of Christmas past I think will give them warm memories of home.
This year as you can see pictured I chose the Personalized Snow Family Love Christmas Ornament. As soon as I saw it I knew it was the one I wanted this year. It's so cute with the mom and pop snow people at the top and the snow children at the bottom. In our case three snow children to represent our three sons personalized with their names but they can be personalized for 1 child or up to 4 depending on how many you need.
The site is so vast I swear I was on their for hours, choosing this ornament and that one. I felt like a kid in a candy store. They have such a huge assortment of ornaments. Many can be personalized adding that special touch. If you can't find an ornament you love on their site then it probably hasn't been made yet. But if you would like to purchase an ornament for your child's favorite teacher or a nurse you know or even a fireman they have ornaments for all sorts of professions. The hand-painted personalization is so professional it looks like it was done by a machine. I'm sure my family and I will grow to Love our latest ornament acquisition for many years to come.
